A man spotted riding a motocross bike on the road without a helmet had his vehicle seized and is facing court action after refusing to stop for Police.

Officers were on patrol at the junction of Friswells Road and Roberts Avenue in Pembroke at 8.15 p.m. on Friday when they saw the rider. When Police signalled for him to pull over, he instead attempted to elude them but was apprehended in the grounds of Victor Scott Primary School on Glebe Road, Pembroke. According to a Police spokesman, the motorcycle was impounded and it is anticipated that the Devonshire man will have several tickets issued as a result of the incident.
