Manhunt underway for 'escaped' prisoner
Police and the Prisons department are searching for a Pembroke man who has not returned to the Prison Farm after being daytime work release.
Thirty-six year-old Shannon Leroy Tuzo was sentenced to prison for failure to pay traffic fines. He was being held at the Prison Farm but participating in a work release programme.
According to the Ministry of Labour and Home Affairs, Tuzo left for work release on the morning of February 22 and has not been seen since.
The Ministry is now intensifying its search for the escaped prisoner and would like to advise the public that it is an offence to harbour an escaped inmate. Tuzo has been at large for ten days.
Anyone with information on his whereabouts should contact Police immediately. Tuzo is not believed to be a danger to the public according to Labour and Home Affairs.
