Marley Beach Cottages in Warwick is up for sale for $5.5 million.

The 13 units on the South Shore, complete with pool, private beach and spectacular sea views, are being sold through Rego Realtors.

It is owned by June Stanton, who ran the property with her husband Gifford, who died last year. The property is 8,098 square feet, has 50 beds and is zoned for tourism. If any buyer wanted to use the prime site as residential accommodation they would need to apply to the Minister of Tourism for permission.

General manager Egon Jensen said: "Unofficially, it has been up for sale abroad, and we had some enquiries, but nothing came through.

"It is just a normal thing and it has always been up for offer. Mrs. Stanton's husband died last year and since then a lot of work has fallen on her and she decided to give it to Rego to try to generate some interest.

"The place has been running fine and there have been no problems of any kind. We have no end of repeat customers and anyone who bought it would do well to continue it as it is."
