Memorial service for Mayor Bluck at the Cathedral today

The public car park behind City Hall will be closed today to provide parking for family members and dignitaries attending a service and reception for the late Mayor of Hamilton, John (Jay) Bluck who died on Friday.

The memorial service will be held at the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity, Church Street in Hamilton at 3.30 p.m.

Following the service there will be a reception at City Hall for all those who wish to honour of Mayor Bluck and to sign the condolence book.

The Corporation sincerely regrets any inconvenience to the general public who normally park behind City Hall.

Those with monthly parking permits may also park for the day in Par-la-Ville car park or any other long-term City car park.

Out of respect for the late Mayor Bluck, City Hall (including both the Bermuda National Gallery and the Bermuda Society of Arts) will close at noon today and the singing group Princeton Tigertones will perform during tonight?s Harbour Night festivities, beginning at 8 p.m..
