Millionaire?s Concierge promises to deliver high fliers

A company known as the ?yellow pages for the affluent lifestyle? is advertising Bermuda as one of its top ten destinations and plans to bring about 100 clients to Bermuda by next year.

Millionaire?s Concierge ? operating out of Florida in the US, has been featured on Oprah, Living Large and the Travel Channel and owner Doug Turner started flying his rich and famous clientele to Bermuda several months ago.

The company, which offers all-inclusive and very exclusive holidays to exotic locations around the globe, makes use of not only private jets and yachts as its modes of transport, but also offers clients exotic car hire, tickets to sold-out shows and suites in some of the best hotels in the world.

Mr. Turner is not reserved in admitting that he wants to get as many people to Bermuda as possible and has a list of some of the worlds? most affluent people lined up to holiday in Bermuda next year.

It?s all about location, he said, and being only 90 minutes flying time from the US, Bermuda makes the ideal getaway from both New York and Florida.

He told this week that he is not picky about which hotels to book for his clients as he considers all of Bermuda?s hotels to be ?top class? and currently makes use of the Fairmont Southampton, Fairmont Hamilton Princess, Elbow Beach and Ariel Sands.

?It depends if they arrive in Bermuda by private jet or private yacht,? he said.

Mr. Turner?s parents are frequent visitors to the Island and have come on holiday up to five times a year ? for the past 15 years. He said his parents? love of Bermuda wore off on him and he found the Island to be unlike any other place in the world ? and his clients agree.

Millionaire?s Concierge flew the wives of 40 NBA stars to Bermuda earlier this month and the majority of them swore they would return, he said..

The Bermuda side of the company is operated by the executive director of Airborne Management Lawrence Scott ? who is also the son of Premier Alex Scott.

Mr. Scott said yesterday that Millionaire?s Concierge is working closely with Purple Talk, which coordinates holidays for some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry.

?And that?s where we come in by taking it to the next level and making sure our clients have the ultimate holiday in Bermuda,? he said.

He said the company organises everything and anything these high-end clients demand ? whether they wanted a laid-back relaxing holiday or just the opposite.

Mr. Scott said the company works closely with the Department of Tourism in efforts to not only increase tourism but also to promote the Island as the ultimate destination.
