The many well wishes and prayers from Bermuda have had a heartening effect on Tourism Minister David Allen, fellow Cabinet Minister Alex Scott said last night.

"The message I am getting from the hospital is that the Minister is feeling a little better," Mr. Scott said. "I was beginning to hear his personality showing through and he is talking a little more."

Mr. Allen was airlifted to the Lahey Clinic in Boston for emergency treatment last Friday.

He has been in the clinic's intensive care unit since undergoing an operation on Sunday.

"The Minister had his best day since Sunday (yesterday)," Mr. Scott added.

The nature of Mr. Allen's illness had not been disclosed.
