A motorcyclist suffered ankle injuries in an accident on North Shore Road, Pembroke, on Sunday evening.

According to a Police spokesman, a 44-year-old Pembroke man was riding west shortly after 8 p.m. at the same time as a car was waiting to pull out of Princess Estate Road.

A second car stopped to let it out. The driver of the first car saw the motorcycle and pulled back into the driveway, but the rider lost control and fell from his cycle.

The man was taken to hospital where he was treated for a suspected dislocation to his left ankle.
