Musician?s memory will live on
A scholarship has been established for young musicians in memory of Gladwyn (Rags) Richardson who died last month.
Mr. Richardson was a well known musician on the Island. A tribute was held on August 28 at the St. George's Club and a number of Bermuda's finest musicians came to pay their respects.
The Griffin Group, which is made up of George Kezas, Milt Robinson, Kenny Harris and Jeff Marshall, invited a number of the musicians on stage to join them in a jam session.
Through donations the event raised $350 for The 'Rags' Gladwyn Richardson Musical Scholarship Fund.
The scholarship will go to a deserving young person who is seriously pursuing a musical career through their instrument.
It is hoped that the event will happen annually to raise funds for the scholarship.
