Details about an attempted kidnap of two children at a home in Middle Town Road, Pembroke, yesterday remained ?sketchy?, Police said.

Police were called to the Middle Town area at 7.35 a.m. and saw a man walking up a hill with a samurai sword and three men running away from the property they were called to attend.

The four men were arrested and two were taken to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital where yesterday they were under Police guard and receiving treatment for non-life threatening injuries.

Neighbours tried to prevent the group of men from taking the two young children from the residence when violence erupted.

Police yesterday were unable to release the ages of those involved and as of Press time all of the men were still in Police custody.
