Government has reviewed its staff appraisal system and changed the name of its personnel department to the Department of Human Resources, it was announced yesterday.

"This change is in line with good practice in managing people in major organisations in both the private sector and public administration worldwide," Secretary to the Cabinet John Drinkwater said in a press statement.

"The change is also in keeping with an increased focus on improving our services."
