Name of crash victim released

Police have released the name of the 24-year-old barmaid killed in a road traffic accident on Monday.
Annette Farkas, a Canadian national who worked at The Robin Hood pub and had been on the Island for just a few months, sustained serious head injuries in the collision between two cycles on North Street, Pembroke at around 9.20 p.m.
She was rushed by ambulance to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital and treated in the Intensive Care Unit. However, she succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced dead at around 4.20 a.m. on Tuesday. Ms Farkas was a passenger on one of the auxillery cycles. Neither of the two riders were seriously hurt in the accident.
The Police extend their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Ms Farkas.
