Nelson Bascome MP is to sue a business partner in his Natural Business Company Ltd. — a roof water filter business.

Mr. Bascome, who stepped down as Health Minister in February after he indicated prosecutors were preparing a case against him, filed the writ through his lawyer Smith and Co. earlier this month.

He said his writ was on a similar matter to that being dealt with by the Department of Public Prosecutions.

He said he had yet to hear anymore from prosecutors about his possible court case.

It is understood a file has been passed by Police relating to Mr. Bascome's business during his first spell as Health Minister from 1998 to 2003.
