A new non-stop flight from Newark to Bermuda takes off today.

USA3000, the latest carrier to the Island, has added the direct service to Newark for prices as low as $79 one way (plus taxes). The service will operate year round. ?Residents of the tri-State area can now have their Bermuda experience at an affordable price. In turn Bermudians will also enjoy this new service to Newark Liberty International Airport, allowing them access to a major gateway city with affordable fares,? said Tourism Minister Ewart Brown.

The flights depart every Tuesday and Friday from Bermuda at 12.25 p.m. They return to Bermuda from Newark Liberty International Airport at 2.55 p.m. the same day.

Dr. Brown also said that the airline?s Baltimore flight has proven to be one of the most popular this season with load factors of more than 80 percent so far.

?In addition to low fares, USA3000 provides such amenities as first run movies or a video short selection onboard all flights as well as full meals. A good deal of USA3000?s success is down to their service levels,? said Bermuda International Airport general manager James Howes.
