New Yorkers go extra mile for Bermuda-bound couple

A Bermuda-bound couple who lost their video camera in a Manhattan taxi got the shock of their lives when the camera was returned to them aboard their cruise ship.

The New York Post reported yesterday that Len and Jill Nobbs of Hampshire, England, were tracked down by two New Yorkers who discovered the lost camera.

The Nobbses were scheduled to meet their heroes via satellite link-up on British television.

Paolo Andino and Matt Cronin spent about five hours trying to find the couple after they discovered the camera last month.

The pair filmed themselves following clues to find the couple but it was only when they discovered a receipt with the couple's name on it and a reference to Bermuda that their search began to yield results.

The Nobbses had also used the camera to tape themselves talking about taking a cruise but did not specify the destination.

That was enough information for the New Yorkers to put it all together however.

The pair then headed off to the docks to ask which of the ships were headed for Bermuda.

The Nobbses were reportedly mystified when their camera was sent to their cabin.
