No decision on whether to evict MP from condo
Though a ?productive? meeting was held last night, Somers Gardens president Ronald Viera would not say whether Shadow Home Affairs Minister Maxwell Burgess has been evicted.
Shareholders in the Somers Gardens Company met last night to decide whether or not to evict Mr. Burgess following a lengthy battle to make him pay maintenance fees the company claims he owed.
The company won an arbitration award to have Mr. Burgess kicked out of the development, and were to meet to decide whether to enforce that. Mr. Burgess has paid the majority of the fees owed, but the company said he still owes around $5,000.
Mr. Burgess, meanwhile, has said he did not pay the fees because his property has not been maintained as the other properties have.
Mr. Burgess did not return pages from last night.
