Opinion polls to appear every two months

The Royal Gazette today publishes for the first time the opinion polls conducted by Research Innovations. The polls, formerly commissioned by The Bermuda Sun, will be published every two months. In addition to regular polls on the Premier's and the Opposition Leader's popularity, The Royal Gazette will ask questions on topical issues and publish the results.

"We are very pleased to be able to publish the Research Innovations poll," said Editor Bill Zuill. "Under the leadership of Walton Brown, the poll has established a strong reputation for accuracy and credibility as he has demonstrated in accurately predicting the overall votes in the last two General Elections.

Mr. Zuill added: "Surveys are an important method of determining the popularity of leaders and policies and of monitoring opinions on the importance of different issues and this is a great step in The Royal Gazette'sefforts to broaden and deepen our coverage of the whole Bermuda community." The Royal Gazette will publish more poll results in Friday's newspaper.
