A man was arrested last night in connection with a three-car pile-up in Paget - which left one vehicle on its side.

Fire, Police and Ambulance rushed to Middle Road in Paget, at the junction with Pinnacle Hill, at about 8.30 p.m. after a car travelling west collided with two cars travelling east.

The driver of the west-facing car was arrested at the scene and taken to Hamilton Police Station for questioning, and a 21-year-old female was taken to hospital with a minor head injury. Nobody else was hurt.
