Pair charged with murder conspiracy
Two men were yesterday charged in Magistrates? Court with conspiring to murder three Police officers and two other men.
With a heavy Police presence in court, Works and Engineering employee Jevon Gardner, 27, from Crossfield Lane in Sandys, and Kenneth Durrant, 53, appeared before Magistrate Edward King.
They were not required to plead to the indictable charges that on or around November 29 they allegedly conspired to murder Sgt. Arthur Glasford, P.c. Terry Trott and P.c. Llewellyn Edwards, as well as Sharrieff Wales and Dion Ford. They were also charged with conspiring to defeat the course of justice.
Director of Public Prosecutions Vinette Graham-Allen represented the Crown.
The two men were remanded in custody and the case was adjourned until January 17.
