Pembroke man charged with causing bodily harm

Acting Magistrate Will Francis yesterday charged a former Pembroke man with two counts of causing bodily harm.

George (Messy) Liburd, 30, who was not required to enter a plea as the charges are indictable and will be tried in Supreme Court, is on remand at Westgate for another matter.

Late last week, he was charged with causing grievous bodily harm to Shannon Sommersall in Smith's Parish on July 2 of last year.

He was also charged with the assault and bodily harm of David Trott on November 22 in Sandys Parish last year.

As papers are still being served Liburd was remanded again until mention in Magistrates' Court on April 9.
