Pension fee to be amended

Registering a pension trust fund will soon fall under the Governments Fees Amendment Act.Legislation was tabled in the House of Assembly on Friday which will see the registration of pension trust funds accrue a fee of $241. Registering an amendment of rules will cost $72, issuing tax assurance will cost $48, while issuing a certificate of registration or certificate of registration of an amendment of rules will cost $17.

Legislation was tabled in the House of Assembly on Friday which will see the registration of pension trust funds accrue a fee of $241. Registering an amendment of rules will cost $72, issuing tax assurance will cost $48, while issuing a certificate of registration or certificate of registration of an amendment of rules will cost $17.
The move will not affect fees paid before these regulations come into effect.
Government also tabled amendments to the Contributory Pensions Act which are slated to take effect on August 16. The amendments see nominal increases in contributions and benefits.
