An American Airlines flight was diverted to Bermuda yesterday afternoon after a male passenger became unconscious following a number of seizures.

AA 1334 from San Juan to Boston arrived at Bermuda International Airport at about 3.15 p.m. so the male, believed to be in his thirties, could be taken off and transported to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital for treatment.

It is understood he was travelling alone and suffered from epilepsy.

The plane, carrying 146 passengers, left about 50 minutes later. The man was in a stable condition last night.
