An in principle planning application to turn a Warwick house into retail space has been denied by the Development Applications Board.
Anne Powell, who previously owned the now defunct Rising Sun Shop, applied to turn the home on Middle Road just off Watch Hill Lane into a retail outlet but was denied because the proposal was contrary to a zoning order in that area.
Ms Powell said she had planned to open something similar to her previous shop which carried household items and equestrian products.
"I just wanted to open another shop," Ms Powell said.
"If I find something else I will consider it."
