The latest Police recruits enjoyed their passing out parade yesterday in front of Governor Sir John Vereker after a gruelling 16-week training programme.

Sir John said the Police Amendment Act 2003 passed recently will enhance the ability of the Service to get the evidence they need to convict criminals while fully protecting the innocent.

Nicole O'Connor won baton of honour for being the best recruit. Prizes for physical fitness went to Chamar Benjamin and Jarion Richardson, Graeme Bird won the prize for best academic exam average and Tsedele Wade won the Mylod Trophy for most improved recruit.
