Police do not plan to investigate a sea burial which resulted in the body of Deborah Elizabeth Santucci Smith floating back to shore last month. Mrs. Smith, 48, was buried at sea by Amis Memorial Chapels of Warwick on May 21. Her body was discovered the following day by a holidaymaker at The Reefs' private beach in Southampton. Government's Chief Medical Officer, Dr. John Cann, said he was satisfied that the burial had been properly conducted. Police said they accepted that conclusion.
