Police responded to a mysterious stabbing report early yesterday morning in Devonshire.

The complainant told Police he saw three black men fighting in the street and at least two of them had weapons.

One of the weapons was a knife, the complainant said, and one of the involved in the brawl was assaulted.

The complainant then went inside his house to call the Police, however when he returned all three men had disappeared.

Police and emergency personnel attended the scene on Devon Springs Road but were told the victim had already left, and as of 7 a.m. yesterday, no person was admitted to the hospital with injuries consistent to a stabbing.

This is the second time in a week that emergency personnel have been called to the scene of a stabbing where the victims have apparently fled.

Police and Fire personnel also attended a reported stabbing at the Southampton Rangers Club last week, however when they arrived they could find no witnesses and no evidence of a stabbing.
