Police are investigating the suspected drowning death of a man found floating face down in water in Sandys yesterday.

Police said the man had been spotted by an off-duty Police officer in The Scaur at about 2 p.m. A spokesman said it was not possible to say how long the middle aged black male had been in the water. They were not naming the man until next of kin had been informed.
