Six Police officers have been promoted to Sergeant.

Sgt. Jeff Baron grew up in Boston, Massachusetts and joined the Bermuda Police Service in May, 1997. He has worked in Central Uniform, Central CID, Narcotics and the Public Order/Firearms Department. Sgt. Baron has also been a full-time Officer Safety and Public Order Instructor for three years as well as a member of the Emergency Response Team since 1999.

He received a Commissioner?s Commendation in May 1999 and a Queen?s Golden Jubilee Award. A ?Big Brother? for three years; Sergeant Baron will commence his new duties in the Recruiting & Training Department, Corporate Services Division.

Sgt. Sean Morris joined the Police in 1988 as a Police Cadet after graduating from Saltus Grammar School.

Sgt. Morris then attended the Bermuda College for two years and became a Constable in 1990, receiving the Baton of Honour upon completion of his Recruit Foundation Course. He has worked in Eastern Uniform, Central Uniform, the Task Force, Traffic Department, Motor Cycle Patrol Section, Vehicle Crime Unit and the Police Support Unit. He will commence his new duties in Operational Policing Division ?A? Watch at Hamilton Police Station.

Sgt. Jermaine Tucker joined the Bermuda Police Service in 1990 at the age of 16. He began his career as a Police Cadet after graduating from Sandys Secondary School, before becoming a Police constable in 1993.

Sgt. Tucker has spent the majority of his career in the Uniform Patrol Section. He also worked in the St. George?s Police Station, the Somerset Police Station and Western CID. For the past four years, he was Acting Sergeant between Somerset and Hamilton Police Stations.

Aged 30, he is married with three children (one of which was recently born on September 22, 2004). Sgt. Tucker will commence his new duties at Hamilton Police Station.

Sgt. Andy Morgan will commence his new duties in the Corporate Services Division (Administration)., Sgt. Tracy Burgess will commence her new duties at St. George?s Police Station and Sgt. Alex Rollin will commence his new duties at Hamilton Police Station.
