Police have released a photo of a missing teenager in the hope it will prompt some information on his whereabouts.

Tyevon Bean, 16, from Devonshire, was reported missing to the Police on Thursday morning. He was last seen on Wednesday morning wearing school uniform comprising of a yellow button down shirt, navy blue trousers and a navy blue and yellow tie.

According to Police spokesman Robin Simmons, a member of the public spotted Tyevon on Thursday in the same uniform, but with a black hooded top over it.

Mr. Simmons said it was unclear why the teenager might have gone missing, or where he might be.

"He left home on Wednesday to go to school and was supposed to return home or to a relative's residence and didn't do either," he explained.

Tyevon is described as being 5ft 6in tall, of slim build, weighing 100 lbs. Anyone with any information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the Juvenile & Domestic Crime Unit on 299-4477 or the main Police number, 295-0011.
