Police are still looking for escaped sex offender David Burrows who has been missing since Monday.

They have now set up a team of four Police officers and two corrections officers to hunt for Burrows, who is known to frequent the Dockyard area and central parishes, after a general search failed.

Police spokesman Dwayne Caines said there had been no reported sightings.

But he added: "A man can only be on the run for a short period of time without any assistance from the public."

He reminded the public it was an offence punishable with a fine and/or prison to aid a fugitive.

Police have also changed the age, weight and height in their description of Burrows who is now described as 21-years-old, around 5foot,10 inches, between 140-145 pounds, with brown complexion and twists in his hair.

He was wearing blue shorts, blue sneakers, red socks and no shirt when he escaped from two officers while being treated at The Arches clinic in Paget on Monday at 10.15 a.m.

Burrows was jailed for six years in May for having sex with a 13-year-old girl - his second conviction for seducing an under age girl in a year.

Last July, Burrows was jailed for two and a half years for having sex with a girl under 14, but while out on bail for that offence, he fathered twins by a 15-year-old girl.

Anyone with any information is asked to please call the Police at 295-0011 or the confidential crime stoppers line at 1-800-623-8477.
