Police faced a wall of silence after being called to a reported assault at Bailey?s Bay Cricket Club on Saturday night.
Several Police cars and an ambulance raced to the scene after a call shortly before 9 p.m.
A spokesman said it appeared that a 21-year-old man from Hamilton Parish had been knocked unconscious for a few minutes after being assaulted.
?When the victim came to he refused medical assistance and didn?t want anything to do with the Police. A number of people at the venue did not see anything and were not willing to speak to the Police about it,? he added.
