POLICE are warning construction site managers to keep their tools under lock and key.The warning followed several thefts of tools from construction sites across the island over the past few weeks.

Police advise site managers to also make note of serial numbers and keep this information secured in a separate location from where the tools are stored.

Police spokesman Dwayne Caines suggested all tools on the premises should be placed in a locked container or storeroom at the end of each work day.

He said in the event tools were stolen, such information was vital to assist police in their recovery.

Any suspicious individuals observed loitering around construction sites or homes under renovation should be reported to police at 295-0011.
