The Postmaster General met with the entire General Post Office staff yesterday to keep them updated on changes which may be coming down the pipeline, Government said yesterday.

The Post Office's management services has conducted a review of the entire service, but a report ? possibly including recommendations for some major changes ? has not yet been written, a Government spokesman explained last night.

Union representatives were at yesterday's meeting at the Devonshire Recreation Club, but were simply invited so that they could be kept up to date as well, the spokesman said. The Postmaster General "wanted the staff and their union representatives to hear directly from him and get their questions.

"That is why the meeting was held today. To give information directly to staff and give them the opportunity to ask any questions they wished."
