Premier flies to UK for meeting on Constitution

Bermuda?s relationship with the UK and the topic of constitutional modernisation will both be on the agenda at a London meeting attended by Premier Alex Scott.

Mr Scott will also participate in discussions about good governance, disaster management, transportation and environmental issues during the annual meeting of the Overseas Territories Consultative Council, held tomorrow and Wednesday.

The aim of the meeting is to update and clarify Britain?s position on its relationships with the overseas territories and allow any relevant issues to be discussed.

As is customary, the Premier will end his trip by hosting a reception and dinner for Bermudian students studying in the UK.

He has been accompanied to London by Secretary to the Cabinet John Drinkwater.
