Belco has advised motorists that road crews will be digging up Cedar Avenue near Marsh Folly Road tonight.

Starting at 6 p.m. tomorrow, the lane of traffic leading into Hamilton (southbound) near the Tennis Stadium will be closed to all traffic.

The road must be closed due to the amount of road they need to dig up to repair an underground cable fault.

Belco said that the work will be finished and the road will be reopened by Friday morning.

However, during the excavation when traffic controls will be in place, motorists are advised to use alternate routes tonight if possible.
