Saga Rose passengers unfazed by chilly weather

Weather in the 60s might be a bit chilly for Bermuda, but cruise ship passengers making an overnight call yesterday had no complaints.

The ? formerly thearrived in Dockyard at 10.30 yesterday morning with 528 passengers on board.

?The ship made its journey from England. It normally travels to the Baltic and the Mediterranean. ?It?s the first time that the ship has docked in Bermuda,? said Christine Buchanan, who is also an excursion manager on the .

?I have been working on the ship for six years with my husband, we travel twice a year on the ship and act as Bridge instructors,? said Mrs. Buchanan. ?The ship is around 40 years old, but it?s a sturdy ship.?

A passenger from England said that it was her first time to the island ?we?re barely off of the ship, but it?s so beautiful here.?

Other tourists on the ship said that the weather was much better than they would be experiencing had they been at home.

?It?s beautiful, the temperature is just perfect here? said a passenger from the United States.

?This our seventh trip on the ,? said a couple from England, ?but it?s the first time in Bermuda.?

Many of the passengers interviewed were frequent passengers on the ship but were excited to be in Bermuda.

The ship usually arrives at its destination in the morning and leaves in the evening but due to some bad weather, the was not dueto leave Bermuda for the Azores until around 6.30 a.m. today.
