An autopsy was carried out yesterday on an American tourist who died at the weekend while scuba diving.

Timothy Ciszczon, 44, was pulled from South Shore, Southampton, in an unresponsive state at lunchtime on Saturday after going out diving on the Cracklin Rosy.

Mr. Ciszczon, from South Bend, Indiana, died despite efforts by crew on the boat, fire-fighters and King Edward VII Memorial Hospital staff who gave him CPR.

Fire spokesman Lieutenant Dana Lovell said his officers responded to a report of a suspected heart attack, although Police said yesterday the results of the autopsy have not yet been released.

The boat was operated by Dive Bermuda out of the Fairmont Southampton hotel. Dive Bermuda manager Charlie Green declined to comment yesterday.
