Police are appealing for witnesses to two vicious attacks on seniors.

A 67-year-old woman was punched in the face, robbed and then punched again on Rosemont Avenue at around 7 a.m. on Friday.

The woman was treated for a swollen eye and cut to the face. The leopard print wallet contained $16 cash and personal items.

The suspect was described as a brown skinned, nearly six foot, clean shaven with very short hair and is in his late 30s. He wore light blue t-shirt and dark blue shorts. Anyone with information should call Hamilton CID on 295 0011.

And in a separate attack, a pensioner was pushed to the ground and mugged in an allotment on Friday night.

The 71-year-old Sandys man was bending over gardening at the junction of Middle Road and Burnt House Hill, Warwick when the attacker knocked him over and demanded money.

The assailant held the pensioner on the ground and went through his pockets before escaping with $500 cash.

The dark-skinned suspect is in his late 20s, around five foot eight, of solid build and with a full beard.

He wore a white scarf on his head and dark pants.

Anyone with information should call 234 1010. Police are also interested in anyone who saw a white open back truck in the Burnt House Hill area.
