Sign of times

February 2, 2008Bermuda has very strict sign use laws which need to be enforced. More and more illegal self-illuminated signs even noon signs are creeping in without complaint. Well-meaning organisations in search of funds and patronage also litter our roadsides with their signs, especially at the Crow Lane entrance to Hamilton and on the Southside side of the Swing Bridge. These signs are littering of the worst kind. And now, Mr. Editor, a moose, of all non-Bermudian things, has appeared as a sign for the Masterworks Foundation at Aberfeldy Nurseries on the Lane in Paget. Both Masterworks and Aberfeldy Nurseries know better and should be ashamed.
