A sneak thief got away with cash after breaking into a Fairylands, Pembroke home on Saturday night.

The woman resident told Police she was in her bedroom packing for an overseas trip, and left the room for about 45 minutes. When she returned, she found he purse on the floor, with an undisclosed amount of both local and foreign notes missing.

?A cyclist was arrested on Sunday night after being spotted weaving along the road.

A retired Police inspector reported the man after he saw him driving in an erratic manner in Devonshire. The suspect was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence.

?A motorist had a narrow escape after nearly crashing into a wall on North Shore Road, Hamilton Parish yesterday. Police spotted the cycle rider travelling at high speed and swerving from side to side on the west bound lane at about 3.30 a.m. Police then followed the driver until he reached the Aquarium, where he was arrested on suspicion of driving while under the influence.
