Some cable channels temporarily off air
CableVision customers will lose most channels for several hours this Friday.
The channels are being taken off the air to perform maintenance on the company?s satellite dish. Channels will return one by one and all should be operating by the end of Friday.
Due to the inconvenience, customers will get the chance to sample some extra channels over the Easter weekend.
?We apologise to any customers inconvenienced by this brief, but necessary, downtime,? said general manager Jeremy Elmas.
?The local channels ZFB, ZBM, VSB, and Fresh TV, along with some favourites including BBC World and ESPN International will not be affected.
?To thank the community for their patience during this time, we will be opening up all channels to customers at no extra cost from April 9 to April 11 over the Easter holiday weekend.?
A press release advised customers to go to the Church Street office on both Thursday, when preparation for work will begin, and on Friday.
The customer service area will be open but the parking lot will be blocked off to make room for repairs.
Service and installation calls will continue as scheduled.
