A Southampton man was found guilty yesterday of stealing $1,000 from a visitor?s wallet from a room at The Reefs one year ago today.
Coolridge Winslow Eve, 46, told jurors he climbed ten feet to the balcony of the room so he could take a bath.
Puisne Judge Carlisle Greaves called the jury in after an hour of deliberation and told them if they needed more time a sworn guard would accompany a juror, who had fallen ill, to King Edward VII Memorial Hospital.
Eve, who will be sentenced today, entered the room of Mary Elizabeth and Brian Girvan early in the morning a year ago.
