A speedboat collided with a wooden pontoon and a moored Jetski in the middle of the night close to the Fairmont Hamilton on Saturday.

A number of guests at the hotel are also reported to have seen the errant speedboat momentarily come on to land and then back into the water during the 1.45 a.m. incident.

The identity of the boat involved is not known as it left the scene. However, the Marine Police Unit has appealed for any witnesses to get in contact with details so that a full investigation can be completed.
