St. George's Preparatory School recently presented a cheque for $10,000 to the Bermuda Red Cross for the Tsunami Relief Fund.

The money was raised in less than three months by staff and 147 students at the school through grub days, muffin sales, hot dog lunches, Spring catalogue orders, raffles, white elephant sales and an ongoing coin drive in each class.

The K-Kids Club sold Valentine favours and individual students held their own fundraisers, while one P2 student donated her birthday money.

The final fundraiser, a "Music of the 60s and 70s Talent Show" was held on March 31.

Students, whose own school was partially destroyed during Hurricane Fabian, are now planning their next fundraiser towards the "Restorers of Hope" AIDS Orphanage in Kenya.
