Bermuda will continue to feel the lingering effects of Tropical Storm Cristobal today even though the depression veered away from the Island on Thursday evening.

The closest point of contact was Thursday at 6 p.m. when the storm was 325 miles west of Bermuda and packing sustained winds of 40 knots before it drifted north-west and died out.

More rain and isolated thunderstorms are predicted for today but will clear up overnight while Sunday should see sunny periods with a few lingering showers.

The sunny weather should return on Monday.

Bermuda Weather Service forecaster Mark Guishard said Cristobal contributed to the torrential rain and thunderstorms which hit the Island on Thursday and yesterday.
