Storm nears Island

Tropical Storm Juan was expected to brush by Bermuda this afternoon, just three weks after Hurricane Fabian struck with devastating force and caused four deaths.
Juan's closest point of approach was expected to be at 4 p.m. when the storm was forecast to be approximately 125 nautical miles to the East, the Bermuda Weather Service said.
At 6 a.m. today, the storm was near 31.5 North 61.9 West and approximately 150 nm east-southeast of Bermuda.
The storm has maximum sustained winds of 55 knots with gusts to 65 knots, and is moving north or 350 degrees at eight knots.
Winds of 30 knots with gusts to 50 were possible over Bermuda today.
