Mourners are expected to turn out today and tomorrow at two memorial services on the Island to mark the passing of prosecutor Dorien Taylor and September 11 victim Boyd Gatton.

Friends and colleagues will attend Christ Church in Middle Road, Devonshire, at 4 p.m. today for a service in memory of Mr. Taylor, 56, who died suddenly in King Edward VII Memorial Hospital last week.

The barrister, who came to work in Bermuda in October of 2000, had been taken into hospital during the first week of January before being released a few days later. He was then admitted last Saturday with a suspected aneurysm and died soon after.

A funeral service for Mr. Taylor is to be held in his native Barbados.

And a memorial service is to be held tomorrow to celebrate the life of Bermudian Boyd Gatton, who died in the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center last year.

The service will be held at 11 a.m. at St. Peter's Church in St. George's, where Mr. Gatton grew up.

Friends belonging to the 38-year-old from New Jersey, where he lived for a number of years before his death, are expected to travel to Bermuda to pay their final respects.
