A robber beat up a teenager and fled with his wallet on a motorbike on Saturday night.

The 17-year-old victim from Hamilton Parish was walking along Cedar Avenue at about 7.15 p.m. when an unknown man approached him from behind and threw him to the ground.

The man demanded money but when the teen said he had none the suspect kicked him in his right side and removed a black leather wallet with $30 in cash and personal items from the victim's pocket.

The suspect then rode off on a red motorcycle. The suspect is black, approximately 6ft 2inches tall and wore a black helmet with a full-face tinted visor, a black jacket with tan or brown fur around the collar and jeans.
