Three deny 'misuse of phone facilities'

Three teenagers appeared in Magistrates' Court yesterday on charges of misusing the telephone and one was charged with causing needless anxiety to another person.

Michael Robert Whales, 18, of Middle Road, Smith's, William Dalzell Tucker, 18, of Rebecca Road, Southampton and Ashleigh Suzanne Moffat, 17, of Harrington Hundreds Road, Smith's, pleaded not guilty to conspiring to unlawful misuse of telephone facilities on September 9.

Whales also denied making use of a telecommunications service via a telephone and causing needless anxiety to another person on September 9.

Acting Senior Magistrate Carlisle Greaves set the matter down for trial on July 9 and they were each released on $500 bail.
