Two men arrested after a Police raid on casino ship on Friday have appeared in court charged with breaching an anti-gambling law.
Captain of the ship Fermin Alfonso Reyes and George Kezas, managing director of Corinthian Ltd ? the local company which charters the ship ? are charged with importing 100 gaming machines contrary to the Gaming Machines Act on July 24.
Reyes, a 29-year-old who resides in Panama, and 71-year-old Kezas, of Lily Park Lane, St. George, both pleaded not guilty during their brief appearance at Magistrates' Court yesterday.
Senior Magistrate Khamisi Tokunbo granted them both bail in the amount of $5,000 each and set September 6 as the date for their trial.
