Two men arrested in BMW probe

Two men have been arrested by Police investigating allegations of assessment number fraud and the use of incorrectly dated body parts on BMW cars.
Bermuda Police Service last night confirmed that a 63-year-old Smith?s man and a 37-year-old from Hamilton Parish had been arrested and bailed on suspicion of fraud related activity. Investigations are ongoing, a spokesman added.understands the investigation focuses on alleged fraudulent use of vehicle assessment numbers for BMWs. Sources said another area of the inquiry centred on claims that new BMWs had been sold with incorrectly dated parts, and were not brand new as stated when sold.
